I manage my tasks with a simple to-do list. My communication with collaborators and coworkers sometimes lags behind changes in priorities or how a particular task is getting accomplished. I sometimes feel uncertain about whether I’m putting off something needed by a collaborator too long, and sometimes I either need to bug collaborators to get me something that has fallen behind or conversely, one of us will express feeling guilty about being late with something that was not actually a problem.

Staging the play

• Ben copies his to-do list to his Digital Twin.
• Ben’s Digital Twin asks Ben clarifying questions whose answers enable the Digital Twin to build a Knowledge Graph that captures dependencies among Ben’s objectives, as well as dependencies between elements of Ben’s Knowledge Graph and the Knowledge Graphs of Ben’s collaborators.
• The same as above occurs between Ben’s collaborators and their Digital Twins

Outcomes generated

• Ben’s Digital Twin receives prompts to complete tasks or for check-ins with his collaborators from his Digital Twin based on the union of Ben’s Knowledge Graph and the Knowledge Graphs of his collaborators. 
• If Ben has doubts about a given prompt, he asks his Digital Twin for a justification for the prompt, and the Digital Twin responds based on its analysis of the Knowledge Graph network. If the Digital Twin’s response reveals an inaccuracy from Ben’s perspective in the union of Knowledge Graphs, Ben corrects his Digital Twin, which corrects Ben’s Knowledge Graph accordingly.
• If Ben’s correction to his Knowledge Graph reveals a conflict between his Knowledge Graph and the Knowledge Graph of his collaborator, Ben’s Digital Twin will prompt Ben to resolve this conflict directly with his collaborator. This should result in Ben and/or his collaborator modifying their Knowledge Graph(s) via their respective Digital Twin(s).

I work for a University Extension and I want to assist local employers in identifying skills gaps with their employees that are hindering productivity and professional growth, so that I can formulate courses that will address those skills gaps. It has been infeasible for me to individually host the hundreds of separate conversations necessary to identify the common themes in skills gaps across a given industry.

Staging the play

• Ben hosts an in-person gathering with business leaders in his target industry to discover broad themes that describe employee professional development needs, and to agree on terms/hashtags that will be used by PORTICO to label these conversations.
• Ben initiates these hashtags in his PORTICO account and invites business leaders to include these hashtags in their PORTICO accounts.
• Business leaders request their employees to open PORTICO accounts and include hashtags related to discovering their professional development needs. IP or privacy-related terms to be excluded from conversations among Digital Twins are copied by users to an “exclusion field” in their PORTICO accounts.
• Users include hashtags in their PORTICO accounts, giving permission to their Digital Twin to either 1) serve as an intermediary in the PORTICO network for those conversations, or 2) serve as an intermediary and to engage them in those conversations.

Outcomes generated

• Digital Twins query their respective users to accurately build their Knowledge Graphs to include the new hashtag(s). These conversations develop narratives about the skills gaps of users, tied to the users’ Knowledge Graphs and the hashtag(s).
• Digital Twins across the target industry monitor the conversations of their respective users, possibly requesting clarification from users on the relevance of discussion subjects to hashtags, which help build the users’ Knowledge Graphs.
• Ben queries his Digital Twin for a summary of professional development needs related to the relevant hashtag(s). Ben’s Digital Twin’s response to him is framed in terms of his direct connections; does not identify persons beyond his direct connections; and when it is generated from a given user, does not use terminology in that user’s “exclusion field”.
• Ben requests that his Digital Twin query the PORTICO network for interest in a few professional development courses descriptions. Users that have included the relevant hashtags for direct conversation are asked by their Digital Twin for feedback on their interest in these course descriptions. 
• Based on feedback distilled from across the PORTICO network, Ben develops and delivers new professional development courses to the industry that address genuine skills gaps and result in improved know-how and productivity for industry professionals.

Achieving financial security by accumulating capital does not seem like a realistic option for me, or for most individuals in my community. Instead, I want a feeling of financial and material security based on an understanding of my essential role within my regional socioeconomic ecosystem, including an understanding of how I can spend my money within my community that reciprocates and supports my vocation.

Staging the play

• Ben participates in online and in-person gatherings organized for the purpose of proposing and agreeing on PORTICO hashtags for narratives related to the businesses and vocations of the participants. Agreeing on common hashtags that relate to shared needs and objectives is the purpose of these gatherings.
• Ben participates in gatherings among business and community leaders who serve in the intersections among business and community interests. These gatherings are organized for the special purpose of discovering existing or potential connections among hashtags and their associated narratives and discussions in PORTICO. Participants in these meetings link hashtags together within their respective PORTICO accounts, allowing them to serve as intermediaries between hashtag threads, as well as linking group or organization-specific hashtags with hashtags related to broader themes.
• PORTICO partners with a financial transitions app giving PORTICO accounts the ability to link transactions to hashtags. Queries across the PORTICO network can reveal the flow of money along linked hashtags (while keeping the details of financial transactions private among the transacting parties).

• Ben queries his Digital Twin and receives narratives at any level of detail that describe how his works fit within the work and projects of other groups in his community.
• Ben queries his Digital Twin and receives narratives at any level of detail that describe how the money he spends circulates within his community.
• Ben requests and receives guidance from his Digital Twin on where to spend money for certain things he wants that will maximize the financial return to the organization he works for.
• Ben follows this advice and validates the outcome through his dependable cash flow and the accompanying narratives he receives from his Digital Twin on the socioeconomic impacts of his cash flow.
